St. Charles Engagement Photography: Audrey & Paul

I'm super excited to be introducing Audrey, Paul and Jaime (correct spelling?) to the blog.

This session was a combined engagement and family session. I'm so excited to be documenting the wedding of Audrey & Paul next Spring.

But first....take a look at all the cuteness I will get to photograph again.

It was a really, really windy day when we went out for the session but somehow Audrey & Paul just worked it for me.

St. Louis Engagement Photography: Heather & Ross

Had an incredibly fun session with Heather and Ross.

We wandered around at some of their favorite areas of town and had a great time getting to know one another.

The light was just about perfect here.


They are a really fun couple. I love the facial expressions!

Ross jokingly said, "Hey, let's stand by the construction area. That would make a great picture!" I think he was just kidding around but the surprise was on him because I totally agreed that it would make a cute shot. I thought that in my head just as he voiced the thought out load. Ha ha!

St. Louis Engagement Photographer: Amy & Joe

I am blown away by Amy and Joe. Amy is so full of life! Joe is her perfect compliment.

This is my absolute favorite from the session!!!!! The image is so rich and creamy. It's like diving into a bowl of sinfully decadant chocolate ice cream. I LOVE my sunflare. And it doesn't hurt that the subjects are dreamy lovely!!!














We spent some time just roaming around The Hill...cause Joe's family is from there. I love it when we are able to incorporate personal touches to an engagement session.

Then we finished off the session with this delicious evening light. LOVE!!!!

St. Louis Engagement Photography: Kristin + Mike

Kristin + Mike are getting married in just a few months.


One of my favorite images this year.


I find this image below very intimate. I LOVE IT. My philosophy is "emotion over perfection". It's more important to me to capture the emotion than it is to get a cold-technically-perfect image. So sometimes, heads may be cut off or the image might be slightly out-of-focus, etc. Sometimes it's an artistic choice, sometimes its unintentional. That's just my style.


Kristin is so cute here...her reaction is adorable!

Kristin and Mike enjoy picnics at Forest Park so I thought it would be appropriate to have a few pics of them doing something they love to do. I REALLY, REALLY LOVE it when I know things like this about a couple. I want to be able to personalize their session as much as possible.
