Belleville Illinois Wedding Photography: Mistie + Andy

Mistie + Andy were married on a lovely summer day.

Going straight to the pics....cause that's what everyone wants to see anyways right?

This was near the end of the day. I always try and ask for a few minutes of the bride & grooms time after the reception has started to step outside for a few minutes during sunset. I never ever regret the images we are able to get during this time. The light is just soooo gorgeous....as you can see here. And when you have gorgeous light, it just makes the gorgeous couple even more gorgeous!!!!

Mistie's dress was sooo pretty.

One of my favorite shots. This dress was perfect for her.

One of my favorite shots of the day. Doesn't Mistie look sooo chic!?!?

All the lovely ladies!!!

They were surrounded by many friends and family.

I LOVE the expression on Misties face. It's especially meaningful when the ceremony is so personal to the bride and groom.

Thanks to my second shooter, Dan, for capturing this shot.

A quiet moment alone after the recessional.

St. Louis Engagement Photography: Kristin + Mike

Kristin + Mike are getting married in just a few months.

One of my favorite images this year.
Photobucket

I find this image below very intimate. I LOVE IT.
My philosophy is "emotion over perfection". It's more important to me to capture the emotion than it is to get a cold-technically-perfect image. So sometimes, heads may be cut off or the image might be slightly out-of-focus, etc. Sometimes it's an artistic choice, sometimes its unintentional. That's just my style.
Photobucket

Kristin is so cute here...her reaction is adorable!
Photobucket

A more traditional image.
Photobucket

Don't you think she could be a model?! I mean seriously!!!!
Photobucket

Mike, you're pretty cool too.

Kristin and Mike enjoy picnics at Forest Park so I thought it would be appropriate to have a few pics of them doing something they love to do. I REALLY, REALLY LOVE it when I know things like this about a couple. I want to be able to personalize their session as much as possible.
Photobucket

Kristin's dogs. Aren't they adorable?

St. Louis Engagement Photography: Maria and Brian

Went for a stroll. Found some beautiful light. Beautiful people make for some beautiful pics.

One of my favorites!!!!
Photobucket

LOVE the shoes!!!!!
Photobucket

I think Maria & Brian thought I was crazy to put them in this spot to take pictures. I love this spot because it's a little different than the usual background. The most important detail is that the light was perfect here.
When it comes to taking pictures, the quality of light is more important than the background and location. So if you like my crazy, odd location choices, then we will get along fabulously!!!! (Sidenote: I STILL take normal pics too.)
