Married: Bree and Glen - Provincial House Chapel
I can't believe it! My first wedding of the season and it was a blast!!!
Bree and Glen and their whole wedding party were soooo easy to work with. I know Bree worked hard to get everything together...and the even more amazing thing was that she did it all long distance from Arizona.
During the wedding day, she was quite relaxed as far as I could tell.
My favorite image of the day!!!!
This was at the reception site and was one of the last images in the portrait part of the day.
The gazebo in the courtyard of the chapel entrance was gorgeous...but we didn't get a chance to do many portraits there. It started raining in the afternoon and the bridal party was hesitant to step out for the pics. I was glad that the inside was just as beautiful.
The groom and his groomsmen happened to be walking thru the courtyard as we were taking some pics in the hallway (which was flooded with natural light from the wall of windows facing into the courtyard).
A moment of serenity.
Mr. Handsome
Just chillin' before the ceremony.
Anticipation....
Bree and Glen and a simply delightful reception.

Katie + Greg meet in Main Street St Charles
Katie and Greg are engaged...and will be getting married in just a few weeks. We had a bit of scheduling and weather related conflicts and so didn't get a chance to do their engagement session until just recently.
Katie and Greg asked to have their session down on Main Street in St. Charles because that's where they had their first date AND their first kiss. Isn't that sweet?
The day we finally got to do this session, it was drizzling and raining. It was the perfect sort of rain...all soft and gentle...kind of misty. It just made the colors more vibrant I think. Just like Katie's eyes.
Katie's daugheter, Amelia, got in on the photo fun too. She is such a cutie pie. AND she made a very good assistant...keeping an eye on the equipment and stuff. Thanks Amelia!!!
Look at that face. How adorable is she? She was only slightly disappointed at the photo shoot because she was really hoping that MY 7-1/2 year old daughter, Olivia, was going to be at the photo shoot too. Amelia came with Katie and Greg to our first consultation and they played while the adults talked and evidently she and Olivia are buddies now. Oh how easy kids are at making new friends. That's just adorable!!!
Thanks guys for a fun morning. Can't wait to have even more fun with you in just a few weeks.

Introducing .... the lovely Johnston Family.
These guys met me out at New Town in St. Charles for a super-quick family session.
These guys met me out at New Town in St. Charles for a super-quick family session.
Even though we only had a short amount of time, we managed to come together very quickly and were able to get some super-adorable images.
Cassie and her husband are especially fond of the place because just a few years ago they were married here in New Town....brings back memories.
Lovin' on the Daddy.
"OK, Ms. Photographer Lady...I'm outta here"
Thanks guys for letting me hang out with you for a little bit.

Spring 2009 Sessions: Linda + Gary
These two love birds were wonderful to photograph on this beautiful spring day.
I feel like Linda's family is partly my family now. I've had the wonderful pleasure of photographing her daughters wedding. Then her other daughters senior pics. Then her grandkids.... (yeah, she's got grandkids! Can you believe it? Doesn't she look fabulous to be a grandma!!!!).
It was a particularly windy day when we did these but Linda and Gary just went with the flow and I think these turned out great.
