Family Time

Had so much fun with Angi, Chris and Ethan for their family session.

Angi was referred to me by Dena (remember her and her family?)...since they both work together at Ginger Bay Salon. I LOVE getting referrals. When a client comes to me from a referral, I already know I'm going to get a pretty awesome client. That's the best!!!!

Ethan is such a typical boy...so not grossed out at all by bugs and insects and critters.
"Dad, look at this ladybug! Oh wait, I think I see a grasshopper over there."

Engaged: Nikki + Adam

Nikki + Adam are getting married!!!!

We got together to do their engagement session down in St. Louis.

My favorite shot here below.


Nikki is adorable!!! She has the most luscious lips....seriously!!!

Women pay big bucks to get lips like this.

Nikki and Adam are such awesome clients.



When I asked them to do crazy, strange sounding things...like standing next to some newspaper stands.....it totally did not phase them a bit. They were completely, "Oh sure, sounds great. Whatever you want to do is fine with us. We know you will make us look great!"



That level of trust is very humbling and pushes me to be even more creative and really getting them some AHHHHHMAAAAAZING pictures. Thank you so much guys for your trust!

I LOVE sunflare. The light is gorgeous here.

When it comes to photography, that's THE most important factor in achieving beautiful images.

Finding the light...sometimes the best light is in the oddest places, but here it's simply beautiful.

Engaged: Whitney + Steve

Steve proposed to Whitney at the Grand Basin in Forest Park ..... so what could be more appropriate than for their engagement session to be at Grand Basin in Forest Park, right?

And what a beautiful day for their session. I LOVE this shot below.

Engaged: Beverly + Al

Beverly + Al met online.

We met the day before their wedding to do their engagement session. Hey that was the only time we could squeeze it in.

I'm so glad we had a chance to meet and get all warmed up for picture taking on the big day


They are big football fans! Each represented their teams as you can see here.

I love these shots below cause they were having soooo much fun. I LOVE these kinds of spontaneous, from the heart, moments.

Engaged: Jessica + Chris, Main Street St. Charles

Jessica + Chris were so natural in front of the camera. They were sooooo easy to work with.

They chose Main Street St. Charles as the place to do their session. They hang out here a lot, have favorite places to go, and live in the neighborhood. I couldn't think of a better choice for their session.

This shot below is one of my favorites. The light was AHHHHMAZING!!!!! And when it comes to photography, quality of light comes first...background and everything else is secondary. That's why when I'm doing a photoshoot with a couple, we don't have a specific location per se that we will take pictures at. I like to leave it organic....fluid....flexible. Ideally, we just walk around an area until we find some good light and that's the spot we start taking pictures.

This set below might be too racy for a few dads with little girls...sorry Jessica's Dad. We did do some of the more traditional pictures too. Just having some fun here.

And we got to include another important member of their family, Bear. He was very photogenic...very responsive to his name being called. Look how alert he looks.
